Innovation

Innovation: IN-no-VAY-shun, (n): buzzword created by men in suits to make it look like they are inventing new and useful things. found to be false 97% of the time.

In all seriousness, "innovation" should only be applied to a new creation that solves problems and employs some new method of thinking or doing. For example, replacing a key ignition with a push button start: not really innovative. You got rid of the key, but you can still misplace your keyless entry fob so it does no outstanding good. The Nissan Cube being designed by a product designer with no "brand DNA" but rather a look at how the car can be formed to better serve the driver: I'd vote innovative. It's a new way of looking at a product that's been around for a century and is a staple in most people's lives.
